The Pyramid

Using Duplo blocks, we build a pyramid, big enough for our pet toys.

Step 1: Build the first layer.

Using 2×2 or 2×4 blocks and starting two rows from the edge, lay down the first layer of the pyramid. We only do three sides, in order to leave an opening to play. You can build a pyramid on the full plate if you have enough blocks.

Step 2: Add a support layer.

Using tall 1×2 blocks, create a support layer to make the pyramid more solid. It should start one row away from the the blocks you just placed and face the second cube.

Step 3: Start the second layer.

Each new block will sit on top of two of the blocks below and only connected to half of them, making the construction go towards the center of the plate. Just add the layers, using 2×4 blocks to reinforce the pyramid, especially in the corners.
